Sergiy Basok's Exhibition in Odesa

The Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. S. Hrushevskyi is hosting a distinctive exhibition of works by Sergiy Basok, a renowned artist-designer from the Odesa Academic Musical Comedy Theater.

The exhibition, titled "Colors of Ukraine", features paintings that depict the stunning landscapes of various regions of the country, which the artist himself has visited:

"Among the works are landscapes from Chernihiv, the Carpathians, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy region, and Khmelnytskyi. There's even a sketch from Crimea made before 2013, and of course, Odesa is well represented. The northern part of Odesa region, with its traditional houses amidst reeds, is also showcased. Budak is a true inspiration spot with a lagoon on one side and the sea on the other, stretching kilometers along the coast," the artist shared with reporters.

The "Colors of Ukraine" exhibition offers a chance to view familiar places from a fresh perspective and discover new corners of our homeland through the lens of color and emotion, the organizers emphasized.

"I create what inspires me, what I deeply feel in my soul. The main thing is to have positive energy in my painting so that the viewer can sense it. When a painting 'hits' and the colors start to 'sing', it already impacts the person looking at it. I infuse emotions into my works, and I believe this is extremely important," Sergiy Basok added.
